Description:

THE COMPANY

Our client is a global consulting firm working with a global Investment Management Group. We are looking for a Operation Analyst to join our client on a large-scale project. This is a 12 months contract with possibility of extension.
In this pivotal role, you’ll provide transition support to the BAU operations team. This includes tasks such training, pilot activities, and parallel run exercises. Additionally, the position involves managing daily BAU operations, covering trade matching, settlements, reconciliation, trade reporting, proxy voting, and corporate actions processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Match trades and send settlement instructions to custodians for Equities, Fixed Income, and Transfers transactions.
  • Input data such as coupon/dividend reversals, repo cash, and bond transfer cash into Bloomberg AIM.
  • Upload transactions from External Fund Managers into the systems.
  • Confirm transactions (repos, bond transfers, IDR mutual funds) in Bloomberg AIM for downstream flow to SAP FAM & third-party outsourced service provider.
  • Handle lifecycle of corporate events from announcement to receipt of entitlements and process coupon claims from repo counterparties.
  • Monitor upcoming shareholders meetings and obtain Portfolio Manager decisions and cast votes before instruction deadlines.
  • Report trades executed for the day to interested parties and stakeholders and send contract notes for central dealing funds to relevant business units.
  • Perform daily reconciliation between Bloomberg, IBOR and custodian.
  • Place and send mutual fund orders instructed by Portfolio Managers to fund houses or custodians.
  • Match mutual fund trades between Bloomberg AIM details and contract notes and send settlement instructions to custodians for settlement.

Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree of Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Investment operations of insurance / fund management / banking & finance industry
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
