Description:

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

The Operations Assistant provides support to the administrators by performing a variety of tasks to ensure seamless organization of the school. Functions include scheduling, timetabling, preparing monthly reports, and other administrative duties. The Operations Assistant also monitors daily staff absences, the scheduling of supply teachers and the verification of information in the computer attendance system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required : Advanced skills in various software applications, e.g. MS Office and accounting software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred : Knowledge of Simcoe County District School Board Policies and Administrative Procedures Memoranda, and Numbered Memoranda. Demonstrated knowledge of board approved software, e.g. EasyConnect, SchoolCash.net, Powerscheduler, JDEdwards, PowerSchool student information system. Knowledge of basic office and accounting procedures. Previous experience working in a school environment.
Testing may be required during the selection process.
