Optinergy Ltd. is an Irish-owned wind farm operations and maintenance company, offering comprehensive services across Ireland and the UK. Our expertise covers a wide range of platforms, including Vestas, Gamesa, GE, Nordex, and Enercon. Alongside routine servicing, we handle major component replacements like generators, gearboxes, and blade bearings with our in-house specialized teams.
Role Description As an Operations Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing, coordinating, and monitoring activities across the Optinergy power-producing fleet. You will work within a customer service framework, ensuring safe site operations and maintaining accurate performance records.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule.
  • Keen interest in renewable energy or a related engineering/technology field.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, flexible work environment.
  • Ability to maintain focus for extended periods and perform under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and address real-time faults to optimize energy output.
  • Ensure safe transfer of control under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
  • Keep track of adverse weather conditions and issue necessary alerts.
  • Generate reports from complex data sets for internal and external use.
  • Serve as an emergency contact, coordinating appropriate responses.
  • Update third-party energy trading systems in real-time.
  • Support other health and safety, IT, and operational tasks as needed.
  • Be the primary point of contact for management queries.
  • Ensure seamless shift handovers and keep detailed records of ongoing issues.
