POSITION: TECHNICAL MANAGER – FROSTA VEGETABILE PLANT AT LOMMATZCH

Job Summary: As a Technical Manager at our vegetable plant, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of technical professionals. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and quality of our manufacturing processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial setting (20+ people team)
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, process optimization, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify problems, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
• Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
• Language, fluence German and English

• Technical Oversight: Provide leadership and direction in all technical aspects of plant operations, including process optimization, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to perform their duties effectively.
• Project Management: Coordinate technical projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Production, Quality Assurance, SCM and procurement, to achieve overall plant objectives and resolve technical issues.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers, evaluating performance and negotiating contracts to ensure optimal service and value.
• Training and Development: Develop training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of plant personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
