The role
The Operations Director (Director) will report to the Beamex Group CEO and has overall control and responsibility for the Operations processes within the Beamex Group, including manufacturing, laboratories, calibration services, sourcing, and logistics. The Director will play a key role as a member of the Beamex Group Leadership Team, implementing the overall business strategy of the Beamex Group, and is accountable for Beamex Operations.

Some key parts of the role:

  • To lead, manage, and develop the strategic and operational performance of the Beamex Group Operation functions, ensuring the successful delivery of the Beamex business strategy as well as ensuring function performance against goals.
  • To be the leader of the operations management team consisting of the Production Manager, Service Manager, Logistics Manager, and Sourcing Manager. To Coach and lead the function managers to foster cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement that drives the company forward.
  • To be the manager of the Operations Engineering team, responsible for operational excellence, developing processes and systems that support and drive efficiency across all functions within Operations.
  • To sponsor data enablement within Operations fostering a data-enabled culture by promoting data literacy, awareness, and adoption across all levels. Working closely with the Beamex data enablement team appointing necessary data owner(s) for the data owned by the operations and defining use cases to improve operational efficiency.
  • Even though not accountable for sales, this role is essential in empowering the operations team to deliver continuous growth in manufacturing volumes and introducing new products, but also in terms of accelerating and developing after-sales services on a global scale.
  • To review production and operation reports and to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. To perform administrative activities associated with effective management of operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving operational data for reports.
  • To oversee that all operations functions meet the required deadlines, and quality standards and are completed within the operational budget. To establish quality control standards and develop and manage budget and cost controls to drive continuously improved efficiency and to establish and meet key functional KPI’s including financial performance of the Operations function.

What we are looking for

  • Strong leadership and people skills (extensive experience in coaching middle management and developing cross-functional teams).
  • Continuous improvement experience and mind-mindset
  • Good understanding of quality systems and processes.
  • An understanding of the development of production automation and testing systems within the electronic industries would be appreciated.
  • Knowledge of integrated ERP and MES systems would be appreciated.

Education:
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, management, or administration.
