Description:
Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking an Operations Financial Analyst IV. The Operations Financial Analyst position is a key operations role within our Solution Group organization responsible for managing and executing the forecasting process as well as supporting various cross organizational interlock activities. The role aides with resource and expense data coordination and consolidation to establish financial plans and manage resource and budget forecasts as part of a monthly forecasting process. The Operations FA works with development and portfolio project management teams to capture and track expense actuals and make financial model recommendations to help drive the company’s growth strategy. The Operations FA should be skilled in project management fundamentals, budget planning, modelling, scenario analysis, and solution P&L building & benchmarking to evaluate financial results and forecasts. This role also works with several functions outside of Solution Group, including expense and cost finance leads, accounting, and Supply Chain teams. The role will take on varying tasks from budget planning and management; to resource tracking; to driving/tracking Solution Group interlock and improvement initiatives. The person in this role must be skilled at working with employees from all levels of the business to manage initiatives that align to the Solution Group strategy.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE & SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Degree preferred in finance or MBA with 8+ years related financial and accounting experience working in a fast paced, multinational organization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities simultaneously & be 100% accountable for the closure of all issues related to completing tasks ON SCHEDULE is critical to this role.
- A sense of urgency daily and strong communication skills are critical. A willingness to conduct business during non-standard hours to meet the needs of a global business
- Progressive commercial forecast and risk assessment experience
- Knowledge of local and international financial practices
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in using Oracle or similar ERP system.
- Background managing fluctuation analysis of periodic financial results versus budget or forecast, versus prior
- Must be a collaborator and team player and able to work independently
- Experience working in a global, matrixed company environment across multiple time
- Strong Microsoft tools skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint (requires executive level presentation skills)
- Preferred Skills: Technology company experience preferred and ability to extract data from primary systems and develop into useful and meaningful information

Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Solution Group and Finance employees at all levels of the business to develop monthly forecasts to meet our strategic goals.
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking including personnel resource tracking.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and

- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Defends forecast recommendations and develops a final forecast agreement with management.
- Supports Solution Group Development and Portfolio initiatives. (KPI development, Process development support, Intercompany initiative interlock)
- Works with Solutions Group and Finance to drive short-range planning 12 months out to meet our sustainability and growth objectives. Performs modelling and scenario analysis and propose recommendations to functional management and senior leadership.
