JOB OVERVIEW:

Alpine Building Maintenance is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the cleaning operations at one of our sites in the Lower Mainland. As the face of Alpine, the Operations Manager is the first point of contact for the client regarding operations, escalations, and work orders. The prime focus of the Operations Manager is to ensure that Alpine meets its contractual obligations in line with service and budget parameters, and to look proactively for ways to increase performance.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • The ability to successfully pass a reliability clearance and criminal record check
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience developing and fostering positive team environments
  • Excellent communication and the ability to candidly have tough conversations
  • Flexibility when it comes to your hours, as it’s not uncommon to work outside regular business hours
  • Work experience or knowledge of the Building Maintenance Service industry is considered an asset, but not required

Responsibilities:

  • May participate in the hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance management of employees
  • Provides coaching, feedback, and recognition
  • Ensures a high degree of employee engagement and retention through strong leadership practices
  • Uses technology, such as Dayforce, to lead and manager team members
  • Liaises with clients to ensure that performance standards are met and complaints are addressed
  • Ensures that scheduled hours and actual hours are in line with budget
  • Oversees or coordinates equipment repairs
  • Ensures subcontractor hours are in line with budget
