Description:

If you’re looking to make the best co-op games in the world, you’ve come to the right place. We’re proud to have some of the best game makers and collaborators in the industry within our four walls. What’s more, we’re a fun bunch of game developers, who love to indulge in our passion for video games together. Our games are not for everyone. Are they for you?
We are now looking for an Operations Manager
This is a key leadership role in our studio and a unique opportunity to play a central part in building our organization, as we extend our operations across multiple game teams. Heading up the operational aspects of the studio, focusing on our next generation of games and facilitating our growth journey in an organic and purposeful way.

WHO YOU ARE:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving organizational change and efficiency enhancing initiatives, and for acquiring, retaining and developing talent within our studio.
The role will manage developers across a variety of disciplines and seniority levels, ensuring individual development drives mastery while still connecting to our goals as a studio. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about people as well as player-centric product development. Who can tailor operations through a project lens, and is equally comfortable leading a junior 2D artist as a seasoned design manager. The role will act as a force multiplier for change at all levels of the organization, a champion of leadership excellence and a conduit for driving improvements across all areas of studio operations. The Operations Manager is committed to and focused on the long term growth and success of the studio, initiating and executing on improvement initiatives in line with studio strategic goals.
The Operations Manager provides leadership and guidance to leaders across the studio, has excellent communication skills, is highly organized and passionate about contributing to a positive and inclusive studio culture. To be successful in this role, you will need the ability to build talent through clear expectations, feedback and recognition, while maintaining a clear view on studio needs. The role is actively involved in work spanning across our portfolio and development organization, working closely with HR to build managerial and developer excellence, with Talent Acquisition to support a successful recruitment process and as an operative wing-person to the COO.
You are passionate about leadership and can be found nerding out about the topic with other people dedicated to growing and learning. You have developed a sound judgment when it comes to organizational structure and ways of working. You are not afraid to take the hard conversations, you maintain cool under pressure and can set the boundaries necessary to support yourself and others. You lead with intent and by example, and get a kick out of helping others be successful.
What you’ll do
You have proven leadership experience with a track record of leading successful teams in the gaming industry. You have a strong understanding and interest for goal setting and team work. You have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able inspire and lead teams effectively. You are a good listener, and seek information on how to challenge your own and others’ biases and preconceptions in order to become better game makers. You have operational and organizational acumen through which you enable positive change and improvement for our teams and subsequently the players.
