JOB SUMMARY
Ofgem administers a wide portfolio of environmental schemes, such as the Renewables Obligation (RO); Non-Domestic RHI (NI and GB); Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) and, Domestic RHI (GB). As part of the administration of these schemes, we are tasked with the assessment of a high volume of complex and technical fuelling and sustainability data in order to verify scheme eligibility and associated claims across the schemes. This role focuses on the delivery of the fuelling & sustainability team, with a specific focus on biomass sustainability, and will allow for the successful candidate to play a key role in supporting the delivery of renewable energy schemes administered by Ofgem.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with the operators of fuelled generating stations to ensure that renewable and sustainable fuels are accounted for accurately; and for maintaining associated processes in the context of evolving government policy and legislation. You will be responsible for leading teams, ensuring the end-end operational delivery of the associated fuelling and sustainability processes and lead on complex work packages and case reviews. Further you will engage with and undertake work on behalf of the Low Carbon Contract Company in respect of the Contract for Difference scheme. The role focuses specifically on the key outputs and deliverables below.
