Description:

We believe cleaning and portering services are the foundation to any hospital Trust. We are looking for an Operations Manager to join the hotel services department to lead and manage these services to the highest standards.
The position is 37.5 hours per week, predominately Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 although flexibility for shifts and days worked is vital to meet business demands.
Car owner/driver and current driving license essential or access to a car as you will be required to travel to multiple locations across the county (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
The Domestic Cleaning & Portering Operations Manager will be responsible for the service operation and delivery for Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) hospital and other site domestic cleaning and porter services countywide. The role is also responsible for contract management of external cleaning service contracts.
Overseeing the management of external contracts are part of this role and responsibilities. Good people skills and personnel management will be essential to enable management of a wide range of staff personnel. These services within the department have a directly employed staffing structure of supervisors, team leaders, domestic cleaners and porters in the region of 180 personnel.
The Domestic Cleaning & Portering Services Operations Manager will report to the Deputy and General Hotel Services Managers.
Proven experience in managing a service, or services will be necessary to have acquired the management skills and eye for detail that’s needed, along with experience of routinely using a range of technologies will be a requirement to enable this roles effective delivery.

We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
