Description:

GardaWorld, an internationally recognized security company, is currently looking for an Operations Supervisor for its Cash Transportation division.

What you will be doing

  • Assisting the Branch Manager in planning, organizing, managing, and controlling the operations under his/her responsibility, based on the company’s management values
  • Investigate to verify and resolve customers and shippers’ complaints
  • Implement schedule and policy changes
  • Identify the routes that require operational follow-ups and ensure route supervision
  • Ensure that the collective agreement and applicable laws are suitably applied; foster open discussions and transparency
  • Ensure performance evaluations for unionized staff are carried out efficiently before the end of the probation period
  • Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members
  • Participate in disciplinary process or settlements of grievances
  • Monitor operations to ensure that staff members respect administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
  • Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets
  • Prepare management recommendations, such as proposed fee or schedule changes
  • Conduct investigations, when necessary, in cooperation with internal or external agencies to determine causes of transportation accidents and to improve safety procedures

What we are looking for

  • 5 years’ experience in administration and management of unionized employees or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record
  • Health and Safety management experience
  • Working knowledge of Workers Compensation reporting process
  • Have a valid Restricted and Non-Restricted Firearms License (PAL: Possession and Acquisitions License)
  • Driven by offering exceptional customer service
  • Sense of urgency, outstanding communication and problem solving
  • Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
