Description:

CBC is a trusted provider of integrated facilities management, asset management and construction services throughout Australia. CBC have an exciting new opportunity an Operations Manager to join the NSW office, based in Port Kembla.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience leading a team in a fast-paced service focused environment, either in a Facilities Management or Building Management company
  • A proven track record in managing and delivering large commercial service contracts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • A strong commercial focus with the ability to identify commercial opportunities
  • Influencing and negotiating skills
  • Solid experience in leading and motivating teams to deliver strong results
  • Strong business acumen with ability to good working relationship across regional offices

REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities:

The position will have responsibility for CBC’s Facilities Maintenance Operations and for leading a broad, cross functional team to ensure operational excellence whilst ensuring contract compliance. The position will oversee budget management and client satisfaction with a focus on ensuring a positive working environment for all CBC employees and contractors that fosters efficiency and productivity.

Scope of role

  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements of all site activities
  • Monitor and drive induction and onboarding statistics throughout all CBC Contracts within the State
  • Build and maintain strong networks, service delivery partnerships and effective referral pathways
  • Provide strategic advice and support for escalated or complex service delivery cases
  • Ensure that all state programs, employees, and sites have access to appropriate resources
  • Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of CBC’s goals, specifically support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organisational planning
  • Promote and maintain safe work practices in accordance with WHS policies and procedures
  • Actively participate in WHSEQ Auditing
  • Oversee state financial management, planning, systems and controls
  • Ensure effective use and compliance across team for CBC CMMS inclusive but not limited to Workflow, Approvals, Document Control, Quoting and WHSEQ responsibilities
  • Lead the State based Contract Management Teams
  • Provide support and guidance to manage contractors and employees and to achieve outcomes
