Due to continued expansion, my client is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead our production and operations team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily functions of manufacturing, warehouse, yard, transport, and logistics. As a key member of the senior management team, you will develop and execute strategic plans, goals, and budgets to enhance quality, productivity, and performance across the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing in a production environment
  • Experience in plastics injection molding or extrusion
  • Proven track record of leading successful production teams
  • Proficiency in production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards

Responsibilities:

  • Production planning, focusing on resource requirements and cost management.
  • Fine-tuning operational systems, processes, and infrastructure for continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with management on strategic planning, budgeting, and cost reduction initiatives
  • Identifying and addressing inefficiencies in production processes
  • Implementing operational management systems and best practices
  • Managing inventory, overseeing warehouse efficiency, and ensuring quality controls
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising staff while addressing HR issues promptly.
  • Providing comprehensive financial oversight and reporting
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for smooth operations
  • Maintaining equipment, vehicles, and facilities to optimal standards
  • Fostering a ‘Safety Always’ culture in compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation
