As the Operations Manager for our stablecoin issuing business, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our stablecoin issuance and management processes. You will ensure efficiency, compliance, and scalability in all aspects of our stablecoin operations.
This is a full-time position with a preference for candidates based in Europe or Canada.

Reporting to the VP of Trading Operations & Exchange Services, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the following duties and obligations:
Responsibilities
1. Stablecoin Issuance Management: Oversee the issuance and redemption of stablecoins, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor and manage stablecoin reserves to maintain peg stability.
2. Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
3. Risk Management: Implement and maintain robust risk management procedures to mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks associated with stablecoin issuance and management.
4. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including custody providers, auditors, and technology vendors, to ensure quality of service and adherence to contractual obligations.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product development, finance, legal, and compliance teams to support the development and implementation of new stablecoin products and features.
6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of stablecoin operations. Prepare regular reports for senior management on operational metrics, trends, and issues.
7. Technology Integration: Collaborate with the technology team to ensure seamless integration of stablecoin issuance and management processes with existing systems and platforms. Identify opportunities for automation and optimization using blockchain technology and smart contracts.
8. Customer Support and Relationship Management: Oversee the customer support function, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and issues related to stablecoin transactions and account management. Build and maintain strong relationships with stablecoin users and partners.
9. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for stablecoin operations. Ensure readiness to respond effectively to potential disruptions or crises.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the financial services or cryptocurrency industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of stablecoins, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency markets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to stablecoin issuance and management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of effectively leading and developing teams.
  • Responsive, diligent, resilient, and persistent in approach.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
