REQUIREMENTS:

  • You will have a strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proven management experience, preferably with a qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of operations management experience or minimum of 2 years of team management experience.
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills.
  • You will have the right to work in the UK and hold a clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As an Operations Manager, you’ll lead and manage our coordination team, to ensure all hours are met and delivered to a high standard of care.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager (and will hold dual CQC registration with the Registered Manager) and Head of Service Delivery to ensure full regulatory compliance is in line with CQC standards.

Ultimately, the goal of an Operations Manager is to ensure that high-quality care is delivered in line with the business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of customer service-focused coordination hubs to ensure high standards of service.
  • Ensure the coordination team work effectively in planning and rostering care and nursing team members into templated shifts with a fulfilment target of 100%.
  • Working on a rota system, be designated support to the Out of Hours coordination service, offering problem-solving skills and ideas.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, 121’s, performance and appraisal reviews, and support the team’s development to optimise employee performance.
  • Monitor and minimise costs related to shift fulfilment, including pay enhancements and agency usage.
  • Ensure proper introduction and scheduling of team members for care packages, competency assessments and nurse manager sign-offs.
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and GDPR.
  • Support Safeguarding recognition/reporting and HR issue resolution.
  • Work with the Recruitment team to ensure fulfilment needs are advertised and resourced.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, their families, and funders, maintaining open communication, addressing concerns promptly, and adapting service needs as required.
