Tranzit is an award-winning transport and tourism provider operating throughout NZ. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our busy New Plymouth operation.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations, leading and supporting our team of over 90 drivers. You will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of vehicles are ready, our team of drivers know the plan and we deliver on every promise we make to our customers.
We cover school, urban and commercial charters and some of our key clients include schools, the Ministry of Education, Taranaki Regional Council and private companies.
This is a fast-paced, exciting industry and this position will suit someone who thrives on change and quick, methodical decision-making. Your task will be to ensure our network is functioning at all times over a 7-day period. Work hours can vary due to the nature of our industry with management support after hours as and when required. With a close-knit operations team and the current Operations Manager staying on in the wider business, this will provide ongoing support as well as an opportunity to really make your mark and further enhance the business’ performance and delivery.

- Managing the day-to-day branch operations,

- Fleet Management and Maintenance,
- Support and leadership for our friendly team of drivers,
- Maintaining our strong performance on our public transport and school contracts,
- Support our client relationships by exceeding customer needs and KPI’s, ensuring top quality delivery of our services,
- Foster a positive, proactive H&S culture, whilst ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
