NAB are looking for an operational superstar with an interest in trading to join them.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Operational experience, familiarity with various systems, and preferably financial market expertise are desired.
- Open to candidates regardless of technical background, but operational experience is advantageous.
- Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to manage risk, and proactive in seeking assistance when unsure.
- Must have an ability to work well under pressure
Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE
- Do you want to kick-start your career in corporate and institutional banking? Within this role you will be responsible for;
- Handle trades and reconciliations for fixed income in banks, supporting trading activities in financial markets
- Potential to join one of two teams: processing role involving settling trades, making payments, and reconciling transactions within strict deadlines.
- Communicate via phone and email with internal and external stakeholders, managing trades ranging from millions to billions.
- Execute back-end tasks such as making payments to clients, reconciling data using PDFs, Excel, and spreadsheets, and comparing systems for risk management.
- Collaborate with traders and salespeople in a middle and back-office role, executing their work efficiently.
- Equity-focused role involves manual data entry and thorough checking of processes.
- Fixed income role involves queue management, dealing with up to 1000 trades daily, and resolving exceptions in trade agreements.
- Utilising a multitude of banking systems such as Calypso, Microsoft Office, SWIFT, NAB Connect, Exigo, and Euroclear.
Starting in the next 3 weeks, this role will be a temporary contract until September. You will work at 395 Bourke Street in a hybrid working environment from Monday to Friday. Your working hours will be between the hours of 9am to 6pm, and you will be paid $34.58 + Super.
