Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Manage quality control activities to be in line with quality assurance standards and procedures. Conduct routine checks on cleanliness and condition of facilities and equipment. Monitor and ensure FSSC 22000 & ISO 22000 food safety standards are adhered at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in Food industry
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standard requirements (ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSC, SFA and Halal requirements)
  • Capable of analyzing information and suggesting solutions for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrates intercultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Functions well both independently and as part of a teamStrong business acumen, critical thinking, and analytical skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Min. NITEC cert/Diploma in Food Science and Technology or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day inspection of in-house processes
  • Assist the Operations Manager in handling ISO and FSSC 22000 Certification processes and related projects
  • Establish, review and continuous improvement for Food Safety Management System (SFA Regulations / FSSC 22000 / HALAL / Customers’ requirement) and documentation
  • Act as the main point of contact for technical queries from partners like Certification Bodies, Accreditation Bodies, internal teams, and Training Organizations
  • Evaluate operating procedures and ensure system are implemented to control overall quality of product, to meet customer’s requirements
  • Conduct daily on-site inspection, personal hygiene checks, products checking and sample retention
  • To conduct quality inspection for all incoming and outgoing stocks, ensuring adherence to the required specifications
  • Assist in internal, external & regulatory auditsAny other job-related ad-hoc duties / projects as assigned by Management
