JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Operations Officer to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals.
As an Operations Officer within our Administration Services section, you will play a crucial role in providing essential administrative and business management support for both ongoing and emerging programs associated with ACC & DASA(DES) and their affiliated organizations. You will deliver non-personal administrative and business management support to various programs, serve as a key member of the DASA(DES) Tasker Team, oversee tasker tracking to ensure tasks are monitored, managed, and coordinated effectively, and facilitate seamless operations and maintain efficient communication channels across teams and departments.
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Synthesize insights from subject matter experts to inform recommendations on hardware and software data pertinent to Army Acquisition objectives
  • Efficiently gather and analyze data to support timely decision-making for capability deployment and facility maintenance, ensuring entries in the DES Facility Tracking Log within 24 hours of completion
  • Formulate actionable recommendations on policies, procedures, and integration requirements at the System of Systems (SoS) level, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and performance parameters
  • Actively represent DES in governmental working groups and planning meetings to advance mission objectives. • Deliver concise executive summaries of task assignments and meeting outcomes to DES leadership points of contact
  • Systematically input task data and monitor progress throughout the acquisition life cycle, providing comprehensive weekly updates
  • Develop comprehensive briefing materials covering various facets of operations, including processes, planning, budgeting, testing, logistics, engineering, program management, and acquisition decisions
  • Prepare and attend various meetings, reviews, and program sessions, furnishing briefing packages to support budgeting, testing, logistics, and acquisition decisions, with all materials archived in the SharePoint DES knowledge management system
  • Fulfill responsibilities as the Organizational Operations SharePoint Organization Site Owner (OSO), overseeing website administration, data maintenance, user access management, and collaboration with developers to enhance functionality
  • Provide administrative support to the DASA(DES) or DES Deputy Director, including reception desk staffing, visitor assistance, information requests handling, and meeting coordination, during leave and absences
  • Act as the primary point of contact for interaction with the ASA(ALT) Staff Action Control Office (SACO), coordinating correspondence preparation, staffing, and tracking with DES Executive Officer (XO) and Executive Administrator
  • Liaise with Network Enterprise Centers (NEC) to facilitate teleconference bridge requests, maintain phone rosters, and provide backup support to scheduler/VTC personnel

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 24 + semester hours in any combination of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, or Organization and Management is preferred
  • Experience with ETMS system preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
