Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Operations Reliability Engineer, based in Aberdeen
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, the Operations Reliability Engineer will deliver optimum performance and continuous improvement in reliability and availability of safety and production critical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake equipment failure/problem investigation using company and vendor reliability data to develop preventative maintenance plans.
  • Accountable for condition monitoring contract performance, agreeing contract deliverables and supporting implementation.
  • Lead RCA/5 Why investigations into lost production opportunities, reporting and communicating the findings and preventative actions identified.
  • Provide direction and technical review/input into reliability improvement proposals.
  • Continually review and identify opportunities to improve monitoring techniques and tools both inhouse and through contracted CM vendors utilising latest technology to add value.
  • Facilitate monthly/ quarterly condition monitoring report review(s) and ensure actions are clearly identified and assigned to address exceptions.
  • Undertake enhanced reviews of daily alerts and make recommendation on findings.
  • Conduct the review and optimisation of equipment criticality assessments and Asset critical spares strategy, ensuring a consistent approach to sparing and stock holding.
  • Act as the technical focal point for reliability biased digitalisation projects with the Technology and Innovation department.
  • Support with the development and forecasting of reliability budgets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree (or relevant industry experience) in Mechanical Engineering preferred or discipline specific qualification. Chartered Engineer status preferred.
  • Previous working experience in similar role and familiar with industry recognised reliability system tools.
  • Experience in leading Root Cause Analysis investigations.
  • Working knowledge of RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) Modelling.
  • Sound appreciation of industry technology trends, developments, and challenge.
  • Rotating and Static Equipment operational experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical proficiency in IT programs, systems, and software trending.
  • Good communication and influencing skills with proven ability to foster positive teamwork and collaboration.
