WHO?
VORTEX-CoLab is looking for an Operations Senior Manager with knowledge of research practices and procedures, laboratory operations, regulatory requirements, planning, and budgeting.
- Master’s degree in Business or Engineering;
- 5+ years’ proven experience in the operations management field;
- 3+ years of relevant contact in R&D&I environments.
- knowledge of European competitive funding programs is mandatory.
- Knowledge of financial principles and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management, cost estimating, and monitoring.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, identifying potential hurdles and moving forward through completion.
- Employee development and performance management skills.
- Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Flexible and able to learn quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Above-average communication (both orally and in writing) and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in English.
