YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Completed apprenticeship in freight forwarding, ideally a further university degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Professional experience (min 2-3 years) in Freight Forwarding, preferably within Air and/or Road Logistics
  • Strong customer service orientation, ability to understand and execute new processes, independent and structured way of working
  • Ability to fulfil time-critical tasks, keep schedules and deadlines; meticulous attention to details to ensure accuracy in data analysis, documentation, and order processing
  • Fluent English and conversational German language skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights to improve operational efficiency
  • Proficiency in using logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools to perform job duties efficiently (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP systems)

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

As an Operations Specialist, you’ll work directly at our customer’s site in Dahlewitz, near Berlin. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating transport-related activities, such as order fulfillment, transport management, freight settlement, request and deviation management, visibility, and monitoring. You’ll be the first point of contact for customer requests, ensuring a customer-centric approach and contributing to long-term relationships.You’ll closely collaborate with various functional areas within our Integrated Logistics (4PL Supply Chain Management) department and external transport providers. Your goal is to provide an excellent customer service experience, aligning with customer expectations and contractual agreements.Join our team and make a difference in optimizing logistics processes!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a main contact for the services in scope
  • Coordinate transport services for customer orders end-to-end, using transport management systems.
  • Handle exceptional & special transport requests
  • Execute event monitoring services to guarantee agreed delivery service. Check and open deviation reports based on event monitoring Issue or receive as well as respond to deviations reported, by identifying root cause, causing party and proposing corrective actions
  • Recognize and escalate operational issues impacting the service in time to your management
  • Show ownership within the area of responsibility and execute tasks with expected level of pro-activity, productivity & performance
  • Provide suggestions to process improvements and CI initiative
