REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years of relevant work experience at a fast-paced startup or scale-up
- Detailed-oriented
- Natural curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset that leads to proactively coming to the table with creative solutions. Some projects will be given to you, and others will require you to identify gaps in the business.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of delivering complex messages succinctly across different mediums and securing stakeholder engagement.
- Confidence and presence to engage with senior executives and build relationships at all levels.
- Experience supporting finance is a plus
- Proven experience in developing operational processes that enhance scalability and business efficiency is a plus
- An understanding of financial management and its practical applications within a business context is a plus
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Our Operations team is at the heart of our business, whether it’s hiring amazing people, helping them develop, making sure people are paid on time, or maintaining operational excellence.
This is a great role for an experienced generalist who wants to make an impact working as an integral part of the Operations team and reporting directly to the VP of People Operations. This role will support projects in all areas of the department including business operations, finance, talent, culture and engagement. You’ll be supporting senior leaders and colleagues in shaping and delivering solutions according to their needs and priorities.
We are looking for someone excited about challenges and not scared to get their hands dirty. To succeed in this role you must be proactive, tech-savvy, agile, comfortable in the unknown and solution-oriented.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executive administration: Support the CEO with scheduling and travel arrangement
- Be an expert in our operational tooling, and own the setup, maintenance and improvement of those systems.
- Office management
- Streamline approach to gain consistency in reviewing/reporting productivity data across all business area for key metrics
- Support and facilitate international travel requirements, including flights, transport, accommodation and visa applications
- Support global payroll
- Manage and process monthly global expenses
- Support the finance team with month-end process, cash management, credit control, accounts payable and supplier relationship
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources while ensuring full compliance
- Assist the leadership team with investor relations
- Ensure that we comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including insurance, licensing and trademarks
- Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging issues that may impact business, people and finance operations.
