  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the poultry industry

Responsibilities:

  • The Operations Supervisor at the Distribution Centre is responsible for supervising daily distribution operations, ensuring efficient logistics, inventory management, staff supervision, and adherence to health and safety regulations. This role focuses on the timely distribution of poultry products while maintaining high-quality standards and customer service

Operational Supervision:

  • Supervise daily operations of the poultry distribution centre, ensuring smooth and effective processes
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to support operational improvements

Staff Supervision:

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing warehouse workers and administrative personnel
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

Logistics Coordination:

  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of poultry products
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transport companies, and other stakeholders to optimize logistics operations
  • Support the development and maintenance of efficient routing and delivery schedules

Inventory Management:

  • Supervise inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, and distribution of products
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining inventory management systems to track stock levels and minimize waste
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and promptly address any discrepancies

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain the integrity of food products
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the distribution centre

Customer Service:

  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand and meet customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients

Financial Management Support:

  • Assist in preparing and managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Analyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing processes
