Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a reliable, customer friendly and fast learning person to join our Operations team at our site based in Sunshine VIC 3020. Enjoy the security of this permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervise and lead a small team of vehicle inspectors.
- Provide strong leadership through exceptional organisation skills, setting clear direction, role clarity and performance expectations for your team.
- Ensure WHS standards are upheld and managed as per WHS policies.
- Monitor and manage stock location, stock audits, vehicle movements and workflow.
- Ensure all KPI’s are met in line with vehicle sales channel and vendors requirements.
- Ensure Employee Engagement plan is implemented by providing clear communication between staff and management.
- Ensure all aspects of People and Culture are managed for your team i.e.: Professional Development Plans, onboarding, training, and performance management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
- A proven track record in operations management, ideally with experience in the auction or automotive industries
- Self-motivated with a hands-on, can-do attitude
- Adaptable and flexible in fast paced environments
- Ability to engage and motivate a team with strong people management skills.
- Competent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent MS Office skills and the ability to learn our user-friendly auction system.
- Demonstrated understanding of WH&S regulations
- Current/valid manual Driver’s licenc
