The Opportunity
We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Eastern Creek NSW. The role of the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling and compliance of drivers, in real-time execution. You will review rosters and progress, while ensuring all drivers and staff follow OHS and site safety requirements.
Hours of operation for this role will primarily be 7:30am- 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Some flexibility with start and finish times will be required in order to cover leave and meet other business requirements.

As a Transport Supervisor, you will:

  • Plan and manage labour resources to meet the day to day service level targets, and exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of trucks, drivers, and shipments to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
  • Champion safety and ensure all drivers and operational staff follow OHS and site safety requirements.
  • Promote a customer first mindset and ensure the daily operation is maximising profitability by linking management goals with practical means of achievement.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Address any issues or delays promptly to minimise disruptions.
  • Ensure services are monitored for on-time delivery, and proactively collaborate with the customer to meet targeted delivery windows.

About you:

  • Previous experience within a similar role within Transport/Logistics industry essential
  • A positive attitude and appetite to learn.
  • Demonstrated experience with Operations, CoR, Fatigue Management desirable but not essential.
  • An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem solve.
  • Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
