Description:

Main Purpose:
Supervise the operation, facilities, equipment, and industrial systems to give to the area’s objectives as well as to ensure compliance with the organization’s corporate policies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities ensuring resource availability to meet production and quality objectives, while preventing near misses and incidents.
  • Achieve established management goals and update sector important metric indicators monthly.
  • Coordinate employee performance, efficiently distributing tasks and assigning objectives according to each individual’s skills and capabilities.
  • Train and develop team members, identifying training and development opportunities to enhance individual and team performance. Conduct periodic performance evaluations of team members.
  • Report personnel updates to the Human Resources management.
  • Control inventory of supplies, raw materials, and work-in-progress products to ensure availability for operations, maintaining adequate levels and minimizing inventory costs.
  • Keep the material management system updated, promptly advising of the receipt, transfer, and consumption of raw materials and supplies, as well as the production of finished goods.
  • Coordinate the technical and administrative aspects of goods and services contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Keep the management system updated by creating or modifying operational procedures and normative documents to stay aligned with corporate and legal compliance policies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, occupational health and safety, environmental standards, and efficient energy use in the plant, reporting deviations and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare anomaly reports and participate in critical analysis meetings to detect root causes and ensure the implementation of driven corrective actions.
  • Adhere to behavioral audit programs and participate in external audits, ensuring the maintenance and compliance of achieved certifications.
  • Verify and analyze discrepancies in truck unloading weight.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the maintenance department to ensure proper functioning of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Provide supervision backup for different plant sectors.
  • Identify and propose improvements in operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize risks.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate data analysis findings and continuous improvement recommendations to management and other relevant teams.

Knowledge Skllis and Abilities:

  • Graduate or advance student of Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced level English.
  • Experience in management using indicators and statistics.
  • Proven ability in positions related to production/plant operations.
