HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Our team is dynamic and fast paced, relying on teamwork, multitasking, and
communication within the team and the larger organization. We are seeking an upbeat individual with strong communication, technical and operational skills to join our team. This position will be responsible for supporting the team in achieving daily production schedules and product quality goals.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma required.

EXPERIENCE

  • 0-2 years related experience in lab/manufacturing environment and/or training (may be acquired through work or school)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, practices, GDP and GMP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Able to understand and adapt to new schedules in environment due to priority changes.
  • Able to collaborate and work with other team members in a team-based environment.
  • Able to use manufacturing systems to print all required documents to complete the daily work as indicated in the production schedule.
  • Able to read and interpret as related to documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and react appropriately to changing priorities and impending deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently work at laboratory workstation, low temperature freezers, and computer workstations.
  • Some lifting of objects including laboratory instrumentation of 35 pounds.
  • Able to enter data and documentation into computer in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows Manufacturing SOPs.
  • Perform routine and repetitious work within narrow defined parameters.
  • Operate on the tools with disciple and maintain good housekeeping practices in the clean-room environment.
  • Completes Production Floor paperwork, including SOPs as required by the Quality System. Records information such as weight, time and date packaged.
  • Dispensing of biological reagents into variety size tubes using pipettes, and
  • pumps.
  • Formulate reagent and buffer solutions.
  • Printing labels and labeling bottles, vials, and boxes.
  • Packaging, sealing, and scanning of assays.
  • Perform production tasks on different product lines as needed.
  • Responsible for the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products as well as in-house supplies.
  • Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity.
  • Assist in processing of final product.
  • Assist in keeping a safe environment.
  • Assist in developing, writing, and instituting vital protocols.
  • Tackle problems that may come up in the department.
  • Efficiently balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Assist supervisor in all aspects of manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and process.
  • Maintain work schedules as assigned.
  • All laboratory personnel are expected to notify their supervisor or manager of any unsafe conditions and/or practices and to take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Performs other tasks as required.
