Our Mungari Gold Operations are a cornerstone asset located 28km west from central Kalgoorlie, Western Australia (WA) and 600km east of Perth. Mungari has a strong residential workforce, with many living in the Kalgoorlie Boulder region, giving employees the luxury of coming home every day.
Last year we announced our expansion project, a $250m investment to expand our processing mill. This investment will extend Mungari’s mine life to 15 years and double annual production to over 200,000 ounces per year post commissioning. It is an exciting time to join the Mungari Operations!
About the role
The purpose of the role is to facilitate safe and effective operational activities within the gold room, laboratory and processing plant sections where required. Reporting to the Gold Room Supervisor you will be required to perform operational duties as well as various sampling and analytical tasks.
Responsibilities include;
Planning and scheduling daily gold room duties
Inspecting and operating electrowinning process
Cropping, filtering and smelting duties
Maintain a safe working environment whilst ensuring processing targets are achieved
Follow and maintain environmentally friendly standards and procedures
Undertake regular and routine sampling, testing and other quality controls as per the operating standards and procedures
Monitor, analyse, adjust and control the process to meet targets
Accurately record and timely report measurements, observations, and variances
Identify, report and correct hazards, including equipment faults
Troubleshooting and continuous housekeeping
Monitor plant water and reagent stocks
Mix reagents where necessary
Participate in maintenance planning activities
Provide continuous improvement ideas
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes;
Previous Gold Room / Process plant operational experience is preferred
A Clean National Police Clearance
Proven planning, organising and analysing skills
Proactiveness when problem solving
Commitment to promoting a safe work environment at all times
Competent user of MS Word and Excel
Familiarity with handling dangerous chemicals
Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
