DISCOVER IMPACTFUL WORK:

Our Advanced Technology team is seeking a highly motivated Optical Systems Engineer to lead the optical aspects of systems definition and integration activities in collaboration with engineers, scientists, and business professionals to develop new technologies and instruments for the Chemical Analysis Division. As a member of multi-functional project teams, together we will develop and deliver instrument and consumable platforms from feasibility through on-market customer care. This role will experience many analytical technologies, such as Raman, FTIR, and NIR.

EDUCATION

  • BS in electrical or optical engineering, physics, or related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Two or more years of hands-one optical design and test.
  • Desire to solve unique problems with practical solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proven understanding of optical sources such as lasers and of optical sensors including cameras.
  • Expertise with design, optical tolerancing, and modeling.
  • Building and aligning optical systems using techniques like collimation and interferometry.
