PROJECT SUMMARY

We are seeking to modernize two mid-to-large scale legacy Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX for one of our current customers at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to act as a senior developer on a modernization and conversion project. For the scope of the project, there are a set number of forms, views, and reports which need to be rebuilt from Oracle Forms and Reports, into Oracle APEX. Within this project, our company is responsible for writing business requirements, development, adherence to quality standards, functional and technical documentation, running user acceptance testing, and deploying to production.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will be responsible for creating APEX forms and reports based on business requirements.
  • Candidate will be expected to champion technical challenges and solve functional or technical problems.
  • Candidate will be responsible for directing and mentoring junior-level developers to create functional work products for the project. Candidate will be responsible to review work created by junior-developers.
  • Provide technical analysis and contribute to estimates to determine level-of-effort to implement new features or capabilities
  • May be asked to troubleshoot or provide guidance to ancillary problems related to an Oracle APEX application, such as performance or networking issues
  • Ability to navigate complex relationships with numerous government and contractor teams in multiple geographical areas

Required Experience

  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience providing enterprise-level support working on Oracle systems
  • One years’ experience setting up and/or maintaining an Oracle APEX environment

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working with or for Federal Agencies
  • Experience working on an IT modernization project or a cloud migration project
  • Education and Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or applicable experience

Currently due to the remote working status of the federal government, most DRT employees are teleworking from home and leveraging video conferencing along with other virtual productivity tools. Under normal circumstances, most of our positions are required to report onsite. However, DRT has not yet determined when employees will be required to return to their onsite workspaces.
