We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Organic Chemist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of solvent recovery processes for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production, ultimately enhancing our ability to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical products.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Scientist in Organic Chemistry specializing in solvent recovery, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing solvent recovery methods to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, conduct experiments, and employ analytical techniques to assess solvent recoverability and purity. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry or a related field.
Strong expertise in organic chemistry, particularly in solvent recovery processes.
Proficiency in evaluating and documenting analytical purity results of solvents using GC-MS, LC-MS, and other techniques.
Experience in performing quality and risk assessments related to solvent usage in API production.
Knowledge of analytical method development and characterization techniques for solvents.
Hands-on experience with distillation experiments and solvent recovery equipment.
Experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical process industry.
Responsibilities:
Utilize process simulation software for designing and optimizing organic solvent recovery efficiency.
Conduct distillation experiments in the lab to assess solvent recoverability and identify areas for process improvement.
Evaluate and document the analytical purity results of recovered solvents to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform quality and risk assessments related to the usage of recovered solvents in API production.
Coordinate the development of analytical methods for the analysis and characterization of recovered solvents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize solvent recovery processes and implement best practices.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in solvent recovery techniques and apply them to optimize recovery efficiency.
