Responsibilities:

TYPICAL DUTIES

The typical duties of this role include, but, are not limited to:

  • Developing, implementing and evaluating change management plans to ensure impacted stakeholders are ready and able to adopt the change. This may include stakeholder impact assessments, communication, training, stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Working closely with project managers to deliver change management/stakeholder engagement and communication activities and artefacts.
  • Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop training artefacts to build knowledge and on-demand support.
  • Collaborating and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support business and system changes.
  • Attending, participating in, and contributing to, a variety of forums, groups and workshops.
  • Working with, and coordinating efforts of other change management specialists and team members.
  • Demonstrating attitudes and behaviours responsive to workplace change to encourage others to participate in change and contribute to successful outcomes.

The Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman (OFWO) is an independent statutory office established by the Fair Work Act 2009 (Fair Work Act). Our functions outline the responsibilities we have as set by the Fair Work Act and other legislation to achieve our purpose:

  • provide education, assistance, advice and guidance to employers, employees, outworkers, outworker entities and organisations
  • promote and monitor compliance with workplace laws
  • inquire into and investigate breaches of the Fair Work Act
  • take appropriate enforcement action
  • perform our statutory functions efficiently, effectively, economically and ethically

Under broad direction, the key capabilities/skills for the role include:

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders. You will be able to act as translator between technology and business SMEs, clarifying and confirming understanding of key concepts
  • Ability and experience in successfully leading a change project, with experience in developing and executing communication, training and/or change management plans
  • The ability to work across a large multi-disciplinary team, balancing competing priorities to deliver quality outcomes
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to develop and nurture stakeholder relationships and networks
