We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our Organisational Development (OD) and Change team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join OD and Change as we undertake a wide range of projects across the whole Council to improve the employee experience.
We will support you to work and study at the same time, which means that you will receive six hours of time a week to complete your Business Administration (Level 3) Apprenticeship. Your manager will ensure that you are supported to complete your apprenticeship, whilst gaining real on-the-job experience within OD and Change.
The post holder will be essential in ensuring that the team runs smoothly and we deliver our service plan objectives. The role will involve a range of administrative duties including assisting with the preparation and running of meetings. Day to day, this will include, but is not limited to, maintaining a plan of topics for future OD and Change team meetings, writing agendas, and circulating documents. In your role, you will also respond to enquiries, update the OD and Change online information pages and organise team files. You will also assist with the planning and management of events like our Big Hearts Big Changes Annual Awards as well as other council wide events.
You will also have the opportunity to work with our Learning and Development, and Engagement colleagues within the OD and Change team, by supporting on council-wide learning and development activity as well as assisting with the administration of staff engagement activities.
Within this role, your work will support a vast range of projects giving you great exposure to different parts of the employee experience and providing you with the opportunity to try new things and get involved.
The role will therefore involve working in a flexible manner to deal with internal and external customers over the telephone, via email and face-to-face at meetings and events. This provides a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting team, and a range of services across a large organisation who serve the people of Rotherham every day.
Interviews will take place w/c 15th July 2024.
If you would like to arrange an informal conversation regarding the position or ask any questions, please email Caleb Rehin, Senior Organisational Development and Change Officer at caleb.rehin@rotherham.gov.uk
This post will have access to the Public Services Network, if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at the Basic level (unspent criminal convictions).
