If you’re looking for an opportunity where you can help shape organisational development and inclusion and support the delivery of key workforce agendas, our Organisational Development and Inclusion Consultant role could be the next step in your career.
Reporting to the Organisational Development and Inclusion Manager within People Services have a unique opportunity for someone with the right values and skills to join our team. We work across the whole organisation and are vital in the delivery of the Council’s People Strategy.
Working with various services and partners, the team focus on:
- Developing organisation understanding of workforce issues (through analysing data, engaging with people, carrying out research and benchmarking – and measuring impacts).
- Ensuring delivery of the Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) workforce action plan priorities (this involves working with our EDI Workforce Task group to research, develop, implement and evaluate different aspects of the plan).
- Ensuring delivery of the Workforce Wellbeing priorities (this involves working with the Workforce Wellbeing group to coproduce different elements of the plan and evaluate impact).
- Promoting a healthy workplace culture (this involves a wide range of aspects including promoting positive mental health, effective communications and engagement, developing a trust-based culture, business agility, cultural change etc).
As the role is 22 hours, it is a great opportunity to achieve that work life balance. The team work in a hybrid manner which we find beneficial for ourselves and the Council. Days and times negotiable with the successful applicant.
This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who have experience of:
- working in a strategic change, Organisation Development or Human Resources setting in a large multifunction organisation(s) with multiple stakeholders
- strategic workforce planning to effectively understand and respond to core issues
- advising, influencing and positively challenging senior managers
- working collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders to understand issues and coproduce solutions
- successfully implementing organisational development and inclusion approaches and change programmes
