Description:

Applications are invited for the position of Organizational Development, Learning and Engagement Coordinator in the Human Resources Division, located at the Welland Campus. The salary range is $66,909 to $83,635 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
Reporting to the Director, Centre for Organizational Excellence, the successful candidate supports the Centre for Organizational Excellence (COE) team by undertaking projects and tasks related to the services and programs it offers. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination, research, and administration of a range of learning, development and engagement activities and projects as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in Human Resources, Business and/or Public Administration, Labour Relations, Psychology, Adult Education or similar field of study
- Minimum three (3) years experience in a related field, preferably in an educational or not-for-profit environment
- Completion of Certified Human Resources Professional certification (CHRP), certification in Coaching, or certification in Organizational Development (ie: Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP), are preferred
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, report writing, and creation of learning materials
- Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task effectively while considering future organizational requirements
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale event management and the provision of professional development programming
- Experience in the management of recognition programs and organizational culture is an asset
- Solid understanding of the principles of adult learning and organizational development
- Proven problem solving, conflict resolution and mediation skills
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset

Responsibilities:
- Completing preliminary needs assessments and carrying out research, as directed, on best practices or learning objectives in complex, sensitive and often confidential situations
- Participating in the development of learning tools and resources; creating materials (including e-learning materials) to support programs and curriculum development
- Researching and preparing recommendations for learning/training course enhancements, tools and activities
- Creating, administering, and distributing workplace analysis/assessment surveys; reviewing completed documents and preparing themes or summarizing qualitative feedback and findings with care to the sensitivity and confidentiality of the information
- Developing and maintaining accurate records and processes for all learning activities, including recording and monitoring attendance, uploading learning records, ensuring staff have appropriate information and following up
- Creating training reports (session or program evaluation; annual training reports, etc.) and ensuring information is accurate
- Managing employee recognition programs, including, NC ExperieNCe Awards and Awards of Excellence
- Providing overall project management to our large-scale employee engagement events
