Job Description Summary:
The Organizational Effectiveness Specialist, Senior will collaborate with HR leadership and key stakeholders to identify and execute talent processes and programs. This role will lead, design, and execute on various talent management programs and processes that support a culture of talent development and high-performance. This role reports into the Director, Talent & Organizational Development.

Job Description

  • Builds understanding of internal and external business landscape to inform and shape talent management programs and tools that support strategic business outcomes.
  • In coordination with Director, Talent & OD and HRBP Team, executes Blue KC’s annual Organizational Talent Planning (OTP) process, focusing on talent assessment, calibration, critical role identification, succession planning and tracking, and talent action planning.
  • Leads career management strategy to accelerate the development of key talent, and continuously monitors the impact of talent identification and development efforts.
  • Executes efforts to continue to embed and integrate Blue KC’s Core Values and supporting behaviors to drive desired culture, supports champions groups and partners across the Human Resources Team to embed Core Values into HR practices. Collaborates with Organizational Change Management and Corporate Communications Teams on ongoing communications and engagement strategies.
  • Partners with leadership and HRBPs on initiatives focused on enhancing performance within workgroups; executes targeted interventions to address team needs.
  • Partners with the Compensation and Workforce Analyst Team and HR Technology Team on talent analytics to report on talent-related data and metrics.
  • Supports the effective utilization of Workday Talent module to enhance use of technology as part of Talent Management processes.
  • As needed, supports HRBP Team in design and execution of Performance Management Cycle to support a high-performance culture; may also consult on engagement strategy and survey execution.
  • Supports Talent Acquisition Team and HRBP Team on best practices for assessments utilized for selection, promotion, and development.
  • Collaborates with the Corporate Learning and Development Team to align talent processes with learning initiatives, translating Blue KC’s strategy and capability needs to learning experiences. May support facilitation of events and workshops supporting leadership competencies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business or related field and minimum 5 years’ experience in organizational development in areas relates to organizational development, culture and engagement strategies, performance management, performance consulting, and design of talent management processes.
  • Demonstrated consulting and project management skills with ability to develop relationships across the organization to drive outcomes.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills and presence, with ability to comfortably present in a group setting and interface with employees and all levels.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to craft concise and engaging communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • Workday experience or other Talent Management software.
  • OD certification or related certifications in areas such as assessment tools, coaching, performance consulting.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
