Description:

SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.
Job Description Summary:
In partnership with the Director of Talent Development, the Training Manager will provide strategic and operational support for the design and implementation of key training initiatives across our organization. This position can be remote, hybrid or based at our San Diego headquarters and requires 20-25% travel.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate an aligned strategy for learning initiatives across functional/operational areas of the company.
  • Enable the sharing of accessible, consistent, and reliable information.
  • Collaborate frequently and effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business.
  • Analyze performance gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions.
  • Coordinate and provide work direction to functional learning leads.
  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in the learning domain (e.g., instructional design), including line of sight to internal and external best practices.
  • Oversee the work of training consultants/vendors.
  • Generate learning communications and materials.
  • Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure learning solutions meet business needs and improve performance.
  • Optimize learning processes for efficiency.
  • Share data, insight, and feedback with the Director of Talent Development to drive business decisions.
  • Research industry and workforce trends to continuously evolve and elevate the employee learning experience.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, human resources, business, management, or closely related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Learning and Development required.
  • Knowledge of learning models and best practices, instructional design strategies, and learning assessment.
  • Experience designing and/or leading the design of training programs and courses in multiple modalities, including face-to-face, live-online and self-paced learning using a variety of technologies.
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills with the ability to manage the delivery of high-quality, on-time programs in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be a collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously under broad direction by the Director of Talent Development to meet objectives.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
