QUALIFICATIONS
Computer Literacy:
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Written Communications Ability to communicate complex information in English effectively in writing to all levels of staff, management and external customers across functional areas
Responsibilities:
- Develop research ideas, review literature, and design studies under the supervision of orthopaedic surgeons and NEBH researchers.
- Work with hospital researchers and IRB staff to apply for IRB approval.
- Collect, clean, and analyze data (databases: EMR, MarketScan, Patient IQ, etc.).
- Write and create manuscripts, posters, and presentations; facilitate manuscript submissions.
- Present abstracts, posters, presentations; representing NEBH at local/regional/national conferences.
- Participate in regular research meetings.
- Supervise and coordinate undergraduate-level research volunteers when needed.
- Maintain research relationships with partnering institutions and attendings.
- Clinical and operating room participation and shadowing as agreed by attendings.
- Other duties assigned by the OCA chair.

Makes decisions based on specific instructions, standard practices, and/or established procedures. Any deviations from these require review/approval from a higher level of authority.
