Description:
Orthotics Officer (SRC MH & PTRC) – Band 3
The Orthotic Services department comprises clinical and administrative staff who, through effective team work, assess for, and provide a range of orthotic products. These include bespoke footwear, knee bracing, spinal bracing and more, to help improve mobility and function for a wide range of people with different needs.
As an Orthotics Officer, you’ll join our existing administrative team working in Morriston Hospital and Port Talbot Resource Centre as the main point of contact for people accessing our services. You’ll be based at Morriston Hospital and will work from both sites. Your goal will be to facilitate a seamless service for those accessing it, and your success will be seen in an efficient and safe service that supports departmental goals, with wider-reaching support of Health Board targets.
Orthotic Officers are the main contact point for people accessing our services and provide a range of administrative duties to ensure that the service runs smoothly and efficiently. You should therefore be comfortable speaking with service users, healthcare colleagues and external suppliers. The majority of administrative tasks are undertaken electronically, so you should be confident using Microsoft office software and ideally have experience of using a healthcare patient management system.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
