OS Platform Engineer: III (Senior)

We are offering an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Ohio for a DevOps Engineer role. This position primarily involves designing strategic solutions to meet specific client requirements, providing advanced production support, and maintaining a high degree of technical expertise to recommend process improvements. Additionally, you will be expected to provide in-depth troubleshooting for various platforms and maintain professional and technical skills of emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design strategic and tailored solutions to meet specific client requests
• Anticipate problems and analyze ways to mitigate the risk
• Articulate the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information
• Provide advanced production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer/vendor dialogue
• Dissect complex situations and refocus on critical technology tasks
• Provide Level 3 engineering support for corporate OS platforms
• Analyze virtual and physical OS platforms covering configuration, monitoring, and capacity analysis
• Maintain professional and technical skills of emerging technologies
• Create and maintain documentation of server systems operational procedures, topology, and hardware/software inventory
• Deal effectively with people and clearly communicate verbally and in writing
• Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments and prioritize workload
• Participate in compliance activities that include log collection, analysis, and reporting.

• Proficiency in Python programming language and other coding practices
• Demonstrated experience in cloud technologies
• Knowledge and experience in DevOps Engineering and related operations
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and best practices in system monitoring
• Proven skills in troubleshooting and technical support
• Experience in workstation support and production environments
• Ability to develop and implement planning processes
• Knowledge of SAN - Storage Area Networks and servers
• Proven skills in compliance and policy adherence
• Experience in data analysis and research analysis
• Proficiency in automation processes and tools
• Experience in documentation and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes
• Familiarity with facility management and collection processes
• Proficiency in adhering to best practices and industry standards.
