Our friendly and supportive sexual health team are looking for an Outreach Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a growing team.
W e are a busy level 3 sexual health service based in Slough. We offer sexual health services in Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot, and Bracknell via our satellite service. We work on a Monday to Friday basis, working 1 Saturday every 4 to 6 weeks.
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for those who are open-minded and non-judgemental, with the ability to work in a highly confidential environment. Previous family planning or sexual health experience within the GUM setting is essential for this role.
You will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team, where we offer incredible training opportunities, such as non-medical prescribers training.
Working within Sexual Health, no day is the same and you will be met with a variation of cases from testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, and contraception. Giving you the exposure to develop and enhance your current skillset!

The post holder will work closely with senior outreach nurse as part of the Sexual Health Service, co-ordinating outreach services to hard-to-reach groups across the Bracknell Forest Borough Council and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
The focus will be on engaging and delivering specialist sexual and reproductive healthcare service to hard-to-reach groups identified by Bracknell Forest Council and Royal Brough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
The post holder will be involved in designing and implementing new pathways of care, by working in partnership with senior outreach nurse, to influence the development of this service both locally and nationally.
In addition to specialist sexual health care the post holder will facilitate individualised targeted health promotion and onward referral to a range of pathways for smoking cessation, alcohol and drug support, weight management as appropriate .
The post holder will be responsible for providing a high standard of sexual reproductive healthcare to all our patients. The post holder will be expected to work as part of multidisciplinary team offering non- judgemental contraception and sexual health care.
This post is an outreach mobile service therefore you will require access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities:

Registered Nurse in Adult nursing.
Sexual Health qualification in RSH/Undertaking SRH qualification.
Significant experience in sexual or reproductive health.
Extensive post qualification experience.
