Description:

The Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program is looking for an experienced Outreach Coordinator to join our team.
Addiction is a widespread issue that adversely affects people across the country. At The Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program, our mission is to provide educational and introspective programming to foster a sober and productive foundation for individuals affected by addiction. We have created a program for people who want recovery. Our non-clinical model is designed to motivate and inspire without judgment. We recognize that addiction is a disease and not an absence of willpower.
As an Outreach Coordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of our mission. You’ll connect with local communities, build relationships, and spread the word about The Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program. Your passion for recovery and your ability to inspire others will be the driving force behind our outreach efforts.
Candidates should be located in central or southern Vermont, with the ability to travel throughout Vermont, New York, Massachusetts and other regions as needed.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Outreach Coordinator is tasked with enhancing referrals and serving as a bridge between the Program, local communities, and potential clients. As a proactive self-starter, they independently schedule visits to referral sources, aiming to secure admissions. Their role involves building connections, advocating for the organization, and ensuring seamless communication between all stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support program initiatives through outreach activities.
  • Develops and grows professional relationships with case managers, medical professionals, and other key decision makers of prospective referral sources.
  • Understands the geographic area for potential referral opportunities.
  • Assists in the development of marketing/PR materials that will be utilized for building/maintaining relationships for the geographic area.
  • Assist in development of logistical operations in coordination with admissions team.
  • Provide support to the admissions team and function as an additional admission resource when needed.
  • Work with network of professionals and follow-up weekly with data and feedback.
  • Arranging meetings with clients and carrying out facility tours
  • Working closely with the Director of Business Development and Program Director and team to develop new business.
  • Develop and/or participates in seminars and campaigns for the benefit of obtaining prospective referral resources.
  • Identify barriers associated with client access to services.
  • Confidentiality: Must adhere to and respect all DSRRP policies regarding the anonymity and privacy of all guests. This includes written and verbal communication regarding past, present, or future guests’ identity, address, and presenting problems.
  • Demonstrate character qualities and core values of enthusiasm, integrity, kindness, perseverance, and professionalism.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Bachelors’ degree in a business or human service field preferred; experience may be substituted for degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in a community outreach, community relations, business development or similar sales role required.
  • Experience working in the field of substance use disorder or behavioral health strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel by personal vehicle to referral sources.
