THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Operations Analyst to join Boeing. In this role you will play a vital role in safeguarding a world class maritime, intelligence, surveillance and response aircraft in the P-8A Poseidon. You will be joining a challenging and dynamic environment, supporting an aircraft platform that defends Australia’s interests.
The role located at RAAF Edinburgh, South Australia.

As a Senior Cyber Operations Analyst you will:

  • Monitor and Analyse network traffic and event logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Assess security control effectiveness and implement changes through the authorised process
  • Support Incident response and conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents
  • Develop and implement strategies to detect and prevent cyber attacks, including the deployment of security tools and technologies
  • Collaborate with the Commonwealth partner and other stakeholders to investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation
  • Support and manage security technologies such as Firewalls and IDS/IPS
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify weaknesses and recommend appropriate security measures
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures
  • Lead and support junior members of the team

Responsibilities:

  • Relevant degree in a cyber related field or demonstrated experience
  • Digital Forensics (DFIR) certifications such as CEH, SANS/GIAC, CISSP are desirable
  • Proven experience as a cyber analyst or similar role
  • Experience with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and vulnerability scanners
  • Familiarisation of Windows and Linux environments
  • Knowledge the Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) is a bonus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to a broad and diverse audience
