YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 1 - 3 years Property claims experience
  • Tertiary qualified, law degree preferred
  • Experience in dealing with Insured’s, brokers and Third-Party service providers
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Experience with litigation procedures
  • Broad knowledge of insurance industry and claims processes
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with common sense
  • Problem solving ability
  • Good keyboard/computer skills

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

The primary purpose of this role is to produce a high-quality work product on claims through immediate contact and the effective investigation, reserving and adjustment of claims incurred by insureds or third parties. This position is central to managing communication between brokers, Insured’s, and other associated parties.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage claims and provide an efficient and professional service within the delegated authority.
  • Manage a portfolio of Property and Casualty claims in accordance with Chubb Best Practice Guidelines.
  • Ensuring claims are proactively managed and kept up to date through use of Chubb’s internal workflow management systems
  • Ensuring that loss reserves are set and maintained in accordance with the Chubb Insurance guidelines.
  • Recognise and pursue subrogation where applicable.
  • Maintain and build positive relationships with all customers.
  • Review and escalate customer disputes.
  • Support underwriting in marketing efforts by representing the claims product and its performance.
  • Support underwriting in understanding claims requirements associated with the release of new products.
  • Complete Large Claim Summaries (LCS) for losses that meet LCS criteria and publish to relevant distribution list.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with TPAs, carrying out scheduled Audits to ensure compliance with our service standards.
  • Any other duties as directed by management.
