As part of the delivery of the UK MOD P8 contract, Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Technical Support Services Engineer to expand the P8 Poseidon MRA1 CAMO Support Team, providing Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publication (MRP) compliant support to the P8 Mil CAMO (Military Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation).
The successful candidate will provide direct assistance to the P8 Lead CAMO Engineer and British Royal Air Force P8 Mil CAM, with the undertaking of CAMO activities specific to those air systems allocated to BDUK RAF Lossiemouth, undergoing Maritime Surveillance support, maintenance, modification and flight test activity associated with provision of the P8 contracted activities.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role is responsible to the BDUK P8 CAMO Lead Engineer and the BDUK multi-platform Part M Manager for:

  • Providing technical support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) or critical technical issues.
  • Managing significant and repetitive defects to minimize operational disruption.
  • Overseeing operational reliability to identify and mitigate emerging technical issues.
  • Overseeing deferred defect levels and manage outsourced defect management functions to ensure service levels and targets are met.
  • Managing longer technical investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Supporting the fleet configuration, modification and repair implementation strategy.
  • Supporting end to end repair processes.
  • Supporting the generation of SIs, RTIs, UTIs and CAMO Technical Instructions.
  • Supporting the processing by continuous improvement of unsatisfactory features report.
  • Supporting the review and recommend for TAA authorization deviation requests from approved technical information.
  • Supporting for continuing airworthiness management requirements on a day to day basis, supporting relevant local Mil CAMO meetings.
  • Supporting the development and improvement of continuing airworthiness processes.
  • Supporting the development of Continuing Airworthiness Management metrics and appropriate dashboard to assist day to day management, performance monitoring and drive continuous improvement opportunities as they emerge.
  • Supporting the MAA Audits.
  • Supporting the correct and proper use of the Safety Management System. Support the correct and proper use of the Quality Management System, supporting internal and external Quality Assurance Audits and associated Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and corrective action plans.
