The Packaging Manager oversees all aspects of the packaging process, ensuring that our products are packaged efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for continuous improvement. This position is also responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse at our production facility in Royal Oak, including managing storage efficiency and shipment scheduling while working closely with the Head Brewer.
Requirements:
- Experience in a packaging or production management role within the brewing industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of packaging equipment, processes, and technology. Proficient in using production management software.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A highly organized person with a passion for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the packaging line, including canning and kegging processes. Monitor production schedules to ensure timely fulfillment and adjust team schedules as necessary.
- Lead, train, and schedule Cellarpersons across four brewing locations.
- Ensure all packaged products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, conducting regular inspections and maintaining detailed records.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and manage relationships with vendors.
- Monitor packaging materials inventory, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate supplies without overstocking. Maintain finished goods inventory.
- Work closely with the Head Brewer to coordinate production schedules, address issues, and meet customer expectations. Participate in sprint meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Ensure all packaging operations comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinating and maintaining inventory levels for remote locations.
