Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Our Marketing & Growth Team is looking for a Packaging Technologist to collaborate with cross- functional teams to design, develop and optimize packaging solutions to meet our corporate strategy and goals.

As a Packaging Technologist, you will be:

  • Working closely with colleagues across several departments, to define suitable packaging materials using both the P.R.E.P. and S.P.G. Tools.
  • Leading and executing Packaging NPD and Optimisation Projects (inc. artwork approval) for branded and own-label products, liaise with Suppliers, and manage packaging specifications.
  • Investigating and implementing cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
  • Developing opportunities to reduce supplier input costs without compromising on levels of performance, safety, service, and growth targets.
  • Developing and managing good working relationships within a broad geographic manufacturing and diverse supplier base, support VA / QA in investigating packaging related complaints and non-conformances.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have Degree/diploma in Packaging Technology / Food Technology / Food Engineering, or similar.
  • Have a high level of cross functional, with significant factory-floor (on the job), experience.
  • Demonstrates Patties Values and behaviours.
  • Be a proactive problem solver and diligent communicator.
  • Have presence, credibility, self-confidence to make an immediately strong impact.
