You will need to have a sound knowledge base of paediatric diabetes and have the skills to apply your specialist diabetes knowledge to teaching colleagues, parents and children in the management of their care. To be able to do this effectively you will have outstanding communication and teaching skills and be able to engage your audience in what you are teaching.

We will offer you clinical supervision, regular appraisal and support in achieving your personal development plan as well as peer support from colleagues in similar roles. Child health will ensure excellent development opportunities and a range of expertise for advice and support in your role. Secondment to national, regional study days and networking events will be actively supported.
Alongside the teaching, you will have a good understanding of diabetes technology and be able to support children and young people with their digital devices. You will passionate in supporting young people in developing their independence into adult services and also through transition
