Description:
Are you a newly qualified or about to qualify Speech & Language Therapist with a passion for supporting children and their families? Are you looking for an opportunity where you can develop clinical experience in working with children, underpinned by a supportive clinical supervision and excellence programme?
Here in the CYPIT team we are looking for an enthusiastic band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join us based at St Marks in Maidenhead.
In this role you will have a mixed caseload within early years and school age supporting children, young people and their families from a wide variety of backgrounds. You will need to demonstrate that you have excellent communication and people skills, an understanding of the diverse needs of children and young people, and an interest in developing clinical skills with early years and school aged caseloads.
You will act as an ambassador for our service and be calm and confident, dealing with challenging situations. You will collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team communicating with various parties to ensure that we deliver a seamless service and understanding the value of integrated services is essential to this.
You will have access to our Trust-wide Learning and Development programme and be supported in your career and personal growth, with opportunities to help you build your CPD portfolio, enabling you to extend your skills and ensure that you excel.
Our service operates 9:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.
Take responsibility for a dedicated caseload and clinical role.
Carry out clinical assessments within your level of clinical knowledge and skill.
Identify relevant therapy needs from which you can develop and deliver an individualised management plan, with support from a senior therapist as needed.
Contribute to and deliver training to schools/early years setting, parents, CYP and staff, as part of therapy support and delivery.
Work collaboratively with education, local authority, medical and nursing staff to ensure delivery of a coordinated integrated service along with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues.
